Although Vietnam’s real estate market is said to be freezing with almost no transactions and many real estate companies in the country are on the brink of bankruptcy, the Thai billionaire Vikrom Kromadit still decided to invest in this field in Vietnam.
Vikrom Kromadit billionaire, the founder of Amata Group, was voted by Forbes magazine at No 34 of the total 40 richest people in Thailand in 2008 with net assets of about $145 million.
In Vietnam, in 1994, Amata Group established Amata Bien Hoa industrial zone in Dong Nai province. Amata is planning to open another industrial park called "Amata Express City" near the airport area of Dong Nai province. Amata is currently Thailand's largest investor in Vietnam.
"In real estate sector, the most importance is to choose location. A good place will have good vision and the investment is almost successful" said Vikrom.
Apart from real estate sector, the billionaire also said that Vietnam is a good destination for investment. Vikrom appreciates the foreign investment attraction in Vietnam. - Source: Vietbiz24
