Vietnam Minister of Construction has decided to examine the investment and management of housing projects for low-income earners in Hanoi and six projects of three giants namely Vinaconex, Handico and Viglacera.
Six projects are Kien Hung resettlement area (Ha Dong Dist) invested by Vinaconex Xuan Mai Concrete and Construction Joint Stock Co and Vinaconex 21, low-cost housing project in Ngo Thi Nham residence area (Ha Dong Dist) of Vinaconex Xuan Mai Concrete and Construction Joint Stock Co, another low-cost housing project of Handico 3 and Handico 5 in Sai Dong (Long Bien Dist) and two housing buildings of Viglacera Corporation in Gia Lam Dist and Tu Liem Dist.
Housing price of these projects namely Dang Xa, Kien Hung, Ngo Thi Nham, Sai Dong ranges between 10 million and 13.27 million dong per square meter (VAT inclusive). In which some investors said that furniture cost accounts for 50%.
Hanoi Department of Construction said it is studying typical housing design for low income earners. For the less than 15-story building projects, basement design is not necessary to avoid high costs, the department added. - Source: Vietbiz24
